Boeser managed to get up on his own and was helped off the ice by the Canucks' medical team.
The team later announced that he would not return to the game. An update on his condition is expected in the coming days.
Boeser has been off to a strong start this season, scoring six goals and adding five assists for 11 points in 11 games. The 27-year-old is coming off a career-high season, where he scored 40 goals and totaled 73 points in 81 games during the 2023-24 season.
Jeannot entered Thursday's game with two points and 21 penalty minutes. The Kings acquired him from the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for a 2025 second-round pick and a 2024 fourth-round pick. Tampa had previously traded five draft picks to get Jeannot from the Nashville Predators at the 2023 trade deadline.
In his career, Jeannot has scored 43 goals and 82 points, along with 335 penalty minutes, in 241 games across five seasons with the Kings, Predators, and Lightning. He also has three points in 16 playoff games.
Jeannot made his NHL debut with the Predators in the 2020-21 season after spending time in the AHL and ECHL. In 2021-22, he led all rookies with 24 goals and was one of the league's most penalized players with over 100 penalty minutes.
The NHL Department of Player Safety is expected to review the hit and issue a suspension soon.
