In breaking news, the Detroit Red Wings have made a move this afternoon.

Detroit Red Wings Place Nolan Stevens On Unconditional Waivers

The Red Wings have placed forward Nolan Stevens on unconditional waivers Sunday with the intent to terminate his contract according to insider Chris Johnston of TSN and The Athletic.

Nolan Stevens placed on unconditional waivers by the #redwings and will have his contract terminated.

Stevens' contract carried an average annual value (AAV) of $775,000.

In the 2022-23 season, Stevens played for the Utica Comets in the AHL. He recorded 15 goals and 18 assists, totaling 33 points in 48 games, ranking seventh among Comets' skaters. Additionally, he contributed two points in six AHL playoff matches.

the 27 year old was originally drafted by the St. Louis Blues at No. 125 overall in the 2016 NHL Draft, Stevens hails from Sea Isle City, New Jersey.
