Standing at 5'11", Fujimagari might just be the fresh talent the K-Wings need.
As of now, Hunter Vorva is their only signed goaltender, having renewed his contract in August. This move suggests that Fujimagari might be eyed for a backup position. The team's Head Coach, Joel Martin, thinks she can do the job:

Since 2020, female players have graced the ECHL's All-Star Game. Legends like Manon Rhéaume and Erin Whitten have their roots in the ECHL. Notably, Hayley Wickenheiser and Marie-Philip Poulin had opportunities to join, but chose not to.
In 2006 , Molly McMaster, a Stage II Colorectal Cancer survivor, played with the K-Wings to promote awareness. At that time, Kalamazoo was a member of the UHL, where McMaster represented all 14 teams.
