Major Incident From a Month Ago: Trouba Gives Violent Stick Hit to Frederic

About a month ago, in a game between the Boston Bruins and the New York Rangers, Jacob Trouba gave a dangerous hit with his stick on Trent Frederic's head, which resulted in a $5,000 fine.

Frederic and the Bruins faced off against the Rangers last weekend and Frederic wanted revenge. In the middle of the second period, Frederic and Trouba dropped the gloves.

After the game, Frederic revealed that he isn't done taking his revenge against Trouba.

"I could never hit him hard enough as he hit me," Frederic said following Boston's 2-1 overtime loss. "So, would have to fight him 10 times to do that. That's what's nice about hockey. You can't do that in other sports."

A reporter asked him if he would really fight Trouba nine more times, and Frederic didn't shoot down the idea:

"Yeah, I would do it," Frederic said. "I mean, you can't hit somebody as hard as you can with a hockey stick as a fist, but you can try. I appreciate him bringing it back up."

Frederic will have to wait a few more months before fighting Trouba again, as the Bruins will meet the Rangers only one last time this season, on March 21st.
