Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand finally addressed the media this morning and spoke about the dirty hit by Florida Panthers controversial forward Sam Bennett.

Brad Marchand, known for playing on the edge, recently experienced the same treatment he often dishes out. He was injured by a cheap shot from Panthers forward Sam Bennett, who punched him in the face during a game.

New angle just dropped of Sam Bennett punching Marchand in the face

Today, Marchand spoke to the media for the first time since the incident. Despite being injured by a dirty play, his response was surprising:

Brad Marchand on Sam Bennett's punch:

«I think he got away with a shot. But I'm not gonna complain. Shit happens. I've been on the other side of a lot of plays. That's part of the game, part of playoff hockey. Sucks to be on the other side of it, but that stuff happens."

Marchand acknowledges that Bennett's punch was dirty but isn't complaining about the lack of discipline. He understands what it's like to be the aggressor and doesn't hold a grudge, considering his own history of similar actions.

It's still uncertain if Brad Marchand will return to the lineup against the Florida Panthers. We'll provide updates as soon as they are available.
