The Bruins eliminated the Toronto Maple Leafs in the first round of the playoffs, but their own run ended in the second round at the hands of the Florida Panthers.
However, even if Jeremy Swayman played most games, Linus Ullmark can say that his team managed to eliminate the Leafs in the first round once again this season.
In an interview, he said much more than that. He criticized the Toronto Maple Leafs' coaching staff and Ilya Samsonov by saying he was surprised that the Leafs would send him for that many games against the Bruins:
Sheldon Keefe and the Maple Leafs surprised many people when he sent Ilya Samsonov onto the ice after he had already lost three of the four games he took part in.
Joseph Woll came in, but got injured, forcing the Leafs to send Samsonov in game 7.
This summer, the Leafs will get the opportunity to add an interesting goaltender alongside Joseph Woll, even possibly Ullmark himself.
