The Boston Bruins and Jeremy Swayman are yet to reach a deal for the goalie's next contract. Swayman, 25, is a restricted free agent, and multiple reports suggest that both camps are far from agreeing on a salary.
With only ten days to go before the Bruins' season opener, the Bruins don't have a lot of time if they want to have their number one goaltender for the game.
By trading Linus Ullmark to the Ottawa Senators during the summer, general manager Don Sweeney made it clear that he wants to keep Swayman with the team for a long time. However, things may not work out that easily.
If it came to it, the Bruins could start thinking about trading him for another number one goalie.�
According to a new report, the Bruins could be interested in taking John Gibson from the Anaheim Ducks. For the past years, Gibson was involved in a lot of trade rumors, but this time could be the right one, considering the Bruins' position with Swayman.

However, Gibson is currently on the injury reserve and is expected to miss between three and six weeks, as he had to undergo an appendectomy surgery.
