Johnny Gaudreau's wife shares a touching statement on their anniversary
The hockey community is still reeling from the tragic loss of Matthew and Johnny Gaudreau, two remarkable men who were taken far too soon.
Their lives were cut short by a drunk driver, Sean Higgins, just one day before they were set to attend their sister's wedding. In the six days since this heartbreaking incident, there's been an outpouring of emotion, with both Matthew's and Johnny's wives openly commemorating their beloved husbands.
Today, Johnny's wife, Meredith, who became well-known in Calgary during Johnny's time with the Flames, shared a touching message and photos in honor of what would have been their third wedding anniversary:
Meredith Gaudreau has shown incredible strength in the face of this unimaginable tragedy. Our deepest condolences go out to her, and we hope that Johnny's memory will live on beautifully through their two children.
