It is no secret among the NHL and its fans that Evander Kane has trouble getting along with other players, regardless of his team. However, this Edmonton Oilers defenseman has noticeably improved in the team's first-round playoff series against the Los Angeles Kings. In their most recent game, Kane pulled off a Gordie Howe hat trick for his team, helping them take back the lead at 2-1.
Unfortunately for Kane, his ability to produce did not shield him from criticism. This enforcer was met with the ire of a Sportsnet columnist who ridiculed the player for his affinity for drama in a now-deleted video.
This is not the first time Spector has antagonized the player since the start of the playoffs. Many fans believe his recent feud with the player came after a snarky response and correction to an interview question this past week.
However, Kane ultimately had the last laugh. In a recent interview, Mark Spector asked the player what makes him play his best hockey this time of year. Instead of answering authentically, Kane seized the opportunity to blast the columnist for accusing him of being too dramatic.
Evander Kane is expected to play in Edmonton's fourth game in their first-round playoff series against the Los Angeles Kings. Hopefully, for his teammates, he can keep the drama down but the intensity high enough to remain in the lead.
