During the Minnesota Wild's match against the Calgary Flames, Ryan Hartman of the Wild received a 4-minute penalty, typically reserved for high-sticking double minors. However, Hartman's infraction was different, and some may argue that he deserved a harsher penalty, which the NHL's Department of Player Safety is expected to announce today.
During the play, the referee blew the whistle, but Hartman persisted and delivered a two-handed slash to Flames player Rasmus Andersson's hands. Hartman then proceeded to sucker punch Trevor Lewis in the face.
Ryan Hartman with a nasty slash on Rasmus Andersson and cheap shot on Trevor Lewis. Suspension incoming?😬
