Florian, 20 years old and 6'4", was selected by the Canadiens in the 4th round of the 2023 NHL Draft, 101st overall. He had an impressive season in the OHL, scoring 34 goals and recording 65 points in 63 games, plus 5 points in 6 playoff games. He even dropped the gloves during rookie camp against the Toronto Maple Leafs' prospects.
