The New York Rangers and goalie Jonathan Quick have agreed to extend his contract for one year, worth $1.275 million.
Quick, who joined the team this season, has been a solid backup to Igor Shesterkin. With a 13-5-2 record in 21 games, the 38-year-old has maintained a 2.45 goals-against average and a .916 save percentage. Ranking sixth among goalies who've played 20 or more games, Quick will get a raise from his current $825,000 salary.
He previously played for the Los Angeles Kings and Vegas Golden Knights, amassing 774 career games with a 388-282-86 record, and earning three Stanley Cup championships.
