San Jose Sharks prospect Quentin Musty has officially requested a trade from the OHL's Sudbury Wolves.

The 19 year old forward drafted 26th overall in the 2023 NHL Draft is currently at home in Hamburg New York waiting to see what happens next.

Musty was sent back to Sudbury after attending Sharks training camp where he played in two pre season games but did not register any points. Standing 6-foot-2 and weighing 200 pounds, he had a great season last year with 102 points in 53 games, plus 10 points in eight playoff games for the Wolves.

The reason for Musty's trade request is not known although some speculate it might be related to playing time or development opportunities. Musty is in his 4th OHL season playing his entire junior career with the Wolves which makes this trade request more surprising.

The Sudbury Wolves have had a strong start to their season with a 3-1-0 record despite Musty's trade request. This absence surely raises questions about his future in the OHL & his path towards making it to the big club.
