The Tampa Bay Lightning have made some moves that will result in Matt Dumba, formerly of the Arizona Coyotes and Minnesota Wild, becoming an unrestricted free agent.

Drafted by the Minnesota Wild, Dumba has been a reliable defenseman capable of playing significant minutes. He was traded to the Tampa Bay Lightning from the Arizona Coyotes mid-season.

It was just announced that Dumba will not return to Tampa due to the Ryan McDonagh trade.

Somewhat obvious after the #GoBolts acquired Ryan McDonagh, but I've confirmed TB will not be bringing RD Matt Dumba back. He will hit the UFA market July 1.

Dumba recorded only two assists in 18 games with the Lightning during the regular season and had no points in their five-game series against the Florida Panthers. Earlier in the season, he scored four goals and tallied 10 points in 58 games with the Arizona Coyotes.

More details to come.

As seen on hockeypatrolMatt Dumba will enter free agency, Bolts won't re-sign him
