Jack Edwards is well known around the media world for his unabated bias towards his Boston Bruins. While that has been controversial occasionally, he seems to have taken it to another level during this series. During a wild scrum between the Bruins and the Leafs, Edwards straight-up called the Official a coward.
The scrum came after Matthew Knies had a prime opportunity on a wraparound attempt. The ensuing chaos caused a scrum in which David Pasternak and Morgan Rielly got into it.
The Leafs ended up on a powerplay out of the situation, which is why Edwards was so upset. Even some of the Bruins players were not happy with how the play was called, however, the Officials were very blunt in their response to the lip from players like Charlie McAvoy.
Luckily for the Bruins, the Leafs have been abysmal on the powerplay this series. As it stands, the game is currently tied at 1 heading into the final period, and if the Leafs can't find the back of the net again, it could be their final game.
