Matthew Knies unveils his new college hockey star girlfriend
A series of pictures circulating online shows that Matthew Knies is no longer single, as he was seen getting cozy with a new woman.
Matthew Knies was enjoying a trip to Italy, but he wasn't alone. Recent photos show Knies with his arm around a woman who appears to be Ella Huber, a well-known women's professional hockey player. Ella has played for Team USA and currently plays for the University of Minnesota Gophers.
Ella Huber, 21, is from Northfield, Illinois, and has played professional hockey since 2016. She played for the Chicago Mission 16U and 19U teams and Team USA U18. For the past three years, she's been playing for the University of Minnesota, scoring 18 goals and 24 assists in 39 games last season.
Matthew Knies has also been doing well, scoring 35 points in 80 games for the Leafs last season. There are high expectations for the second-round pick from 2021.
