This Saturday night marks the return of Radko Gudas to Toronto, where he'll face off against the Maple Leafs for the first time since a memorable moment last May during the 2023 Stanley Cup playoffs. In that now-iconic photo, Gudas can be seen screaming in the face of Maple Leafs goaltender Joseph Woll, a moment many Leafs fans are eager to see Gudas answer for.

Gudas Breaks Silence Regarding His Return To Toronto

Toronto's enforcer, Ryan Reaves, has already shared his thoughts on facing Gudas tonight.

Now, the big defenseman himself has spoken out. Gudas, who missed a potential matchup with the Leafs back in January due to illness, admitted today that he's been eagerly anticipating this game.

Back in town for first time since playoffs

"I've been looking forward to this night," Gudas revealed "A great feeling walking in here"

Seizing the opportunity, Gudas also took a playful jab at Maple Leafs fans who were incensed by the infamous photo, suggesting they're still losing sleep over it.

Gudas on celebratory scream in front of Woll after series-clinching win in OT:

"One of the emotional moments when you let loose ... It's a long time ago. I still can't believe you guys talk about it ... People here still can't sleep over it," Gudas remarked. "It's one of those moments that happen in a second."

As for whether we'll witness any on-ice drama stemming from the history between Gudas and the Maple Leafs tonight, only time will tell. But there's no doubt that all eyes will be on this highly anticipated game.
