Rick Celebrini, the father of top draft prospect Macklin Celebrini, recently expressed his preference for his son to land with the San Jose Sharks.
As the Director of Sports Medicine for the NBA's Golden State Warriors, Rick sees San Jose as an ideal destination due to the family's proximity and support network.
«It'd be amazing. We talk about it all the time,» Rick Celebrini, father of the Livermore-based clan, told San Jose Hockey Now this week. «We try not to go there either. Because it's out of our hands, and you really don't want to be disappointed either. But as a family, it would be unbelievable to have him here with us in the Bay where we can help him and support him
Despite their hopes, they understand the draft process is beyond their control. The Sharks currently have the worst record in the NHL, positioning them for the first overall pick in the upcoming Draft Lottery.
The Celebrini family eagerly awaits the outcome as they anticipate Macklin's future team.
