As the playoff race intensifies in both the Eastern and Western Conferences, the Vancouver Canucks are feeling the pressure. Following a tough loss to the Colorado Avalanche, tensions boiled over at practice the next day.

Fight Breaks Down At Canucks Practice Between Hronek And Garland

During a small area game at the end of a lengthy practice session, teammates Filip Hronek and Conor Garland got into a brief altercation, requiring veteran defenseman Ian Cole to intervene and separate them.

Although the altercation didn't escalate to a full-blown fight and the players didn't drop their gloves, it was evident that both Hronek and Garland were heated during the exchange.

Earlier in practice, Garland had already faced adversity when he got tangled up with defenseman Nikita Zadorov during a rush drill, resulting in a high stick to the face.

Neither Garland nor Hronek spoke to the media after practice, but fans are hopeful that the team's passion will translate positively when they face the Washington Capitals on Saturday night.

This incident marks the second time this week that teammates have clashed, following a similar incident between Ben Chiarot and Lucas Raymond of the Detroit Red Wings during a practice session on Wednesday.

It's that time of year!
