Lucic was placed on long-term injured reserve (LTIR) today, meaning he will be out of the lineup for an extended period of time. Players placed on LTIR must miss a minimum of 10 team games or 24 days of the regular season.
The 35-year-old power forward had two assists through his first four games back in Boston. Head coach Jim Montgomery initially reported that he would be out a 'couple' of weeks, indicating LTIR may not be necessary. Of course, this could also be a move to create extra cap space for the team in the short-term.
