The NHL has lifted its ban on longtime coach Joel Quenneville, as well as executives Stan Bowman and Al MacIsaac, allowing them to return to the league.
An investigation by the Blackhawks revealed the team didn't handle Beach's query properly during the team's 2010 Stanley Cup run. Quenneville, who was the Chicago coach at the time, resigned as coach of the Florida Panthers. Bowman, Chicago's general manager and hockey operations president, and top team executive MacIsaac, also stepped away and all three were placed on the commissioners exempt list.
Starting July 10, Bowman, MacIsaac, and Quenneville can sign contracts with NHL teams. Each of them has made significant personal improvements by participating in programs, focusing on their issues.
