Reports today confirm that Konecny's home was engulfed in flames late last night. The Haddon Fire Company No. 1 responded quickly, with additional support from fire departments in Cherry Hill and Westmont to combat the blaze that consumed the entire three-story structure.
According to reports, the Haddon Fire Company was dispatched at 11:39 p.m. to the fire at 582 Jobel Dr. Upon arrival, crews saw heavy flames on the first floor and thick smoke coming from the upper floors.
The fire was brought under control shortly after midnight, but not before two firefighters from Cherry Hill sustained minor burns. Fortunately, their injuries did not require hospitalization.
An investigation into the cause of the fire is now underway, led by the Camden County Fire Marshal.
Thankfully, the Konecny family and the firefighters are all safe and escaped this terrifying incident without serious injuries. We wish the Konecny family well as they recover from this shocking event.
