Cook, 25, from Kelowna, BC, joined Minnesota on a one-year deal as a free agent. She scored one goal in nine games this season. Cook played four seasons with the Boston University Terriers and was inducted into the Women's Beanpot Hall of Fame in 2023.
Tapani, 30, from Turku, Finland, was drafted by Minnesota in the fifth round of the PWHL Draft. She signed a two-year agreement and had five points in nine games for Minnesota. Tapani represented Finland in three Olympics, winning bronze medals in 2018 and 2022, and has a silver and four bronze medals across eight IIHF Women's World Championship appearances.
