In breaking news, the New Jersey Devils have finally acquired their number one goaltender.
Devils Acquire Allen From The Canadiens
According to insider Elliotte Friedman who was the first to report the trade, the Montreal Canadiens are sending Jake Allen to the New Jersey Devils.
Prending the trade call, Montreal sends Jake Allen to New Jersey
In exchange, the Devils are reportedly sending a conditional 3rd round pick to the Montreal Canadiens which could turn to a 2nd rounder depending on how much games Allen plays.
The Montreal Canadiens are also retaining 50 percent of Allen's contract which is a big win for New Jersey as his deal runs through next season as well.
