The Anaheim Ducks have acquired defenseman Brian Dumoulin from the Seattle Kraken in exchange for a fourth-round pick in the 2026 NHL Draft.
Dumoulin, 32, scored six goals and recorded 16 points in 82 games with the Kraken last season. Drafted in the second round (51st overall) by the Carolina Hurricanes in 2009, Dumoulin played a key role in helping the Pittsburgh Penguins win back-to-back Stanley Cup championships in 2016 and 2017.
He is entering the final season of his two-year, $6.3 million contract, which has an average annual value (AAV) of $3.1 million.
Hailing from Biddeford, Maine, Dumoulin has played in 626 NHL games, tallying 25 goals and 155 points throughout his career with the Penguins and Kraken.
