Nikita Zadorov has recently become one of the most popular players from the Vancouver Canucks. Aside from his bold personality, fans love him for what he brought to the team: a top-4 defenseman from the Calgary Flames for very little in return.
Despite his all-around approval, Big Z was supposedly not set to stay in Vancouver. During the regular season, he was the subject of rumors of a pre-deadline trade, eliciting a response from his agent Dan Milstein.
Though it was clear Zadorov enjoyed his time in Vancouver, it seems it is now coming to a close. Canucks general manager Patrik Allvin stated that the 6'6" defenseman will enter free agency.
Nikita Zadorov was a cornerstone of the Canucks defense and had gained popularity for his bold interview personality. Understandably, fans are in pieces over his inevitable departure.
Though it is sad for Vancouver fans to say goodbye, Nikita Zadorov will undoubtedly still be on the ice somewhere in the NHL. Where that is will have to remain a mystery for the time being.
