Although it was Bedard's second game in the NHL, the hype has yet to die down, and he was able to capture a few career firsts. This includes his first career goal, as well as his first career penalty.
The goal came on a slick wraparound play after Bedard showed off his hands with a nice drop pass. The penalty was for tripping, on the aforementioned Brad Marchand.
Brad Marchand had no issue in using his typical irritating antics on the former first-overall draft pick. He gave Bedard a hook in the midsection, and proceeded to drag him all the way to the Bruin's bench, and nearly pulled him inside.
It looks like Bedard wasn't fazed by Marchand's antics, and was holding his own in the minor altercation. He faces Marchand only one more time after this game.
