Rasmus Dahlin Leaves Practice With Injury After Blocking A Shot

The Buffalo Sabres are looking ahead to a big year. They are considered by many to be playoff contenders for the first time in many years. Training camp got off to a frustrating start when star defenseman Rasmus Dahlin left with an injury.

Dahlin Leaves Practice With An Injury

Multiple reports confirmed that Rasmus Dahlin had to leave Sabres practice early after taking a shot off the hand.

In the final minute of the Sabres scrimmage Rasmus Dahlin went down the tunnel holding his hand.

And in the last 10 seconds of the scrimmage, Rasmus Dahlin went off the ice..it looked like he got hit in the hand. Woo boy. #Sabres

Sabres fans had to wait for the post-practice press conferences to hear about the status of Dahlin following the scary incident.

Dahlin All Good For The Season

During his post practice media availability Rasmus Dahlin spoke on how he was feeling after heading down the tunnel.

Rasmus Dahlin said, «I'm all good.» He's happily chatting with reporters now.

This will be a massive relief to Buffalo Sabres fans. The Sabres are looking to break the longest playoff drought in the NHL. Dahlin and the Sabres are very aware of the expectations and are not going to be satisfied with anything else.

Rasmus Dahlin on Sabres expectations: "It's go time. We don't have excuses anymore ... I want to have a longer season this year."

The Sabres will be led by Dahlin, Tage Thompson and young netminder Devon Levi heading into 2023-24. They will need to get off to a better start to the season than in the past to keep themselves in the playoff race all year.
