Ruzicka came under scrutiny after sharing a video on his Instagram page this morning, allegedly depicting him involved in illegal activities. Although he has removed the video since, the Coyotes are taking action.
Ruzicka, who joined the Coyotes earlier this season after being claimed off waivers from the Calgary Flames, has played three games for the team so far.
Originally drafted by the Flames in the fourth round of the 2017 NHL Draft, Ruzicka had a stint with Calgary, playing 114 games and notching 14 goals and 40 points. Despite showing flashes of talent, inconsistency plagued his performances, notably during the 2022-23 season, where he managed just a single assist in 19 games after a promising start with 20 points in the first 25 games.
