Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand called out Florida Panthers forward AJ Greer during the post-game interview after he delivered a dirty hit on David Pastrnak.

Brad Marchand wasn't happy with the hit former Bruins forward AJ Greer delivered on David Pastrnak during the Bruins' 4-3 loss to the Florida Panthers. Marchand made his feelings clear in a postgame interview.

The game between the Bruins and Panthers quickly turned heated, with 26 penalty minutes handed out in the first period alone. The tension escalated when AJ Greer landed a dirty hit from behind on Pastrnak. Teammate Pavel Zacha immediately stepped in forcing Greer to answer for his actions.

Later in the game Nate Schmidt took a run at Pastrnak after a collision with Sam Reinhart but Brad Marchand wasn't having it. Marchand dropped the gloves with Schmidt to protect his teammate.

After the game Marchand was asked about the hit on Pastrnak that sparked the first fight. He called it a greasy hit from behind & acknowledged that teams often target their best players like Pastrnak.

Marchand on Greer's hit on Pastrnak that sparked a fight: "Greersy got him from behind. You usually target the other team's best players, so every time he has the puck they're going after him."


Although Marchand clearly didn't like the hit, the Bruins let the Panthers get under their skin, which ultimately led to their loss in the teams' second meeting in just four games.
