Rangers forward takes a shot at Bruins defenseman Parker Wotherspoon ahead of preseason rematch

New York Rangers forward called out Boston Bruins defenseman Parker Wotherspoon before their game tonight following a heated battle in their first preseason match.
Last time these teams met, tensions rose after a Rangers player hit a Bruins defenseman. It looked rough.
Wotherspoon dumped the puck into the Rangers' zone when Brennan Othmann hit him hard. Wotherspoon couldn't finish the period. He came back in the second but later fought Othmann for the earlier hit.
After the fight, Wotherspoon threw Othmann's helmet at the boards. A few days later, Othmann talked about this, saying he didn't like what Wotherspoon did with his helmet.
"I respect him for coming in like that," Othmann told reporters Wednesday, per Peter Baugh of The Athletic. "Nothing really happened. No punches were really thrown. It was more grab and tussle. I didn't really appreciate him smacking my head off the ice a little bit and throwing my helmet. ...I respect him for coming in and wanting to fight. But it just didn't really sit well with me that he had to do that considering he played in the NHL basically last year and I'm just a young kid. I get it. I have to answer the bell sometimes. But that situation there, I just didn't really appreciate that just considering his status."
We'll keep an eye on how things unfold tonight as the Boston Bruins get set for a rematch against the New York Rangers.
