Carolina Hurricanes pending unrestricted free agent defenseman Brett Pesce has reportedly agreed to join a new Eastern Conference divisional rival team.

The Carolina Hurricanes are likely to lose defenseman Brett Pesce to their division rivals, the New Jersey Devils, this offseason according to multiple reports.
This upcoming week will be one of the busiest in the hockey season. Tonight, the Stanley Cup Final Game 7 will determine whether the Florida Panthers or the Edmonton Oilers bring home the cup. Four days later, the NHL draft will take place. Then on July 1, NHL free agency opens.
Today, numerous reports suggest that Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Brett Pesce will sign with the New Jersey Devils on July 1.
