Connor Bedard got the Blackhawks started last night against the Arizona Coyotes, scoring on a beautiful pass from fellow Blackhawks' rookie Kevin Korchinski. The goal came within 30 seconds of the opening frame, which made Bedard the youngest player in NHL history to score within 30 seconds of an NHL game.
While the goal didn't kickstart the Blackhawks for the rest of the game, as they lost an 8-1 doozy, it will likely be one that Bedard remembers for some time.
Bedard has lived up to expectations, despite how incredibly high they were. He has 4 goals and 2 assists in 9 games played, which any 18-year-old should be proud of. He even had another goal that was taken away after an offside review.
Bedard has also already broken an NHL record, being the youngest player to score twice against the previous year's Cup winner.
