Bedard's Family Caught In Rumors Surrounding Perry
Corey Perry was suspended and ultimately released from the Chicago Blackhawks due to improper conduct. Before the Blackhawks made a statement on the situation rumors were flying on the circumstances surrounding Perry's absence.
The rumor that caught on and spread around the internet connected Perry with Connor Bedard's mother in an intimate relationship. The Blackhawks did eventually respond and dispel these rumors entirely.
Despite Davidson providing a statement we had not heard from Bedard himself on how the rumors had impacted him. That all changed this afternoon.
Bedard Finally Speaks Regarding Swirling Rumors
Today during a media availability in Winnipeg Connor Bedard was asked about the rumors surrounding himself and his family for the first time. Bedard answered the questions in an honest fashion that showed just how much rumors can impact players.
«It's just a bunch of BS on the internet. It's of course been an affect on myself and my family, and that's not fair. But it's out of our control. It's all just fake, made-up stuff.»
He once again denied the rumors and said they were just fake and made up. He also admitted the situation felt unfair to him and his family considering they were not involved at all.
Bedard will have an opportunity to show he has put this all behind him tomorrow when the Blackhawks face off against the Winnipeg Jets.
