In 11 games, Bedard has five goals along with two assists for 7 points, a solid start to the year, but as we know in the top league, it's about more than just offensive output.
Defensively, Bedard's development has certainly been lacking, and in recent times, it's becoming even more evident that he's a liability on that end of the ice.
This video is just one many examples of Bedard seemingly being lost in the defensive zone, and it unsusprisingly led to a great shot from the New Jersey Devils.
Ultimately, Bedard is just 11 games in after years in the WHL, which often doesn't prioritize defense for its top stars, and thankfully for Blackhawks fans, he's shown an incredible work ethic just a few weeks into his career, so there's a good chance it doesn't remain an issue for long.
