According to Colorado Hockey Now reporter Evan Rawal, Avalanche center Fredrick Olofsson will be leaving the NHL to sign in the Swiss pro league next season. The only thing that could keep him in North America would be if he gets a one-way offer from an NHL club for the 2024-25 season.
Olofsson has 85 games of NHL experience split between the Dallas Stars and Colorado Avalanche. He has 4 goals and 13 points to show for his time in the league. The Avalanche acquired Olofsson in the offseason in a deal with the Dallas Stars for future considerations.
The Avalanche where very active at the trade deadline this year as they upgraded their forward depth. This has left Olofsson back in the American Hockey League as he has effectively lost his spot in the NHL lineup. There is a chance he's played his last NHL game.
