Valeri Nichushkin finds a way to resume career after getting banned by the NHL

Valeri Nichushkin, who received a six-month suspension from the NHL for failing a substance test, has found a way to continue his hockey career during his time away from North America.
A recent report on X announced that Nichushkin will play in the Media Hockey League in Russia this summer. He'll join other NHL players and Russian celebrities from July 6 to August 31.
"Colorado Avalanche forward Valeri Nichushkin will participate in the second season of the Hockey Media League. This was announced to TASS by Nikolai Osipov, President of the Media League, at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
"The second season of the league will start on July 6 and will end on August 31," said Osipov. "The matches will take place in Moscow, but we plan to hold some games in other regions. Among NHL players, it is certain that Valeri Nichushkin will play."

The Avalanche forward is expected to return to the NHL in November, provided he clears the third phase of the Player Assistance Program.
Chris MacFarland stated that Nichushkin will need to rebuild the trust he broke during the playoffs, but he should be welcomed back to the team.
"MacFarland said it's going to be up to Nichushkin to rebuild trust with the organization.
"We've looked at all options, like we always do, and the obvious question is termination, right? And that's not an option."
