According to insider Frank Seravalli, the Columbus Blue Jackets have officially placed former AHL All-Star goaltender on the waiver wire.
Martin, 28, has played 13 games for the Blue Jackets in the 2023-24 season, recording a 3-8-1 record with a 3.65 goals-against average (GAA) and a .887 save percentage. He was claimed off waivers from the Vancouver Canucks on September 29.
Across his career, spanning 51 appearances with the Blue Jackets, Canucks, and Colorado Avalanche since his NHL debut in 2016-17, Martin holds a 17-25-6 record with a 3.63 GAA and .886 save percentage. Hailing from Oakville, Ontario, he has also contributed to 214 career AHL games since 2015, achieving a record of 94-85-22 with a 2.88 GAA, .905 save percentage, and 13 shutouts while playing for Abbotsford, Syracuse, Colorado, and San Antonio.
The 6-3, 191-pound goaltender was originally drafted by the Colorado Avalanche in the third round, 63rd overall, at the 2013 NHL Draft.
