Oilers Fans Infuriated After Fan Favorites Are Put On Waivers
The Edmonton Oilers have been trying to find ways to be more successful in the playoffs. Today they made their final roster moves to begin the regular season. This meant a couple of fan favorites were put on waivers.
Fan Favorites Head To Waivers
Today the Edmonton Oilers put 3 players on waivers. All 3 are young players who had a legitimate chance at making the NHL roster.
All 3 players must make it through waivers unclaimed by the other 31 NHL teams to remain with the Oilers. This news was disturbing to NHL fans who were hoping to see at least if not more of these players make the final roster.
Oilers Fans Infuriated By Latest Roster Moves
Since the news of waivers came through today Oilers fans have made their displeasure with the moves known. Particularly former second-round pick Raphael Lavoie who had shown promise throughout the preseason.
With Lavoie, Gleason, and Pederson now all on waivers the Oilers and their fans are in for a stressful 24 hours. If they can make it out with all 3 players still in the organization Ken Holland will look great. If any of them get claimed the questions might start about his asset management.
