The trend continues with the Edmonton Oilers getting screwed, as one of the linesmen blocked Connor Brown just seconds before the Florida Panthers scored.

The start of this Stanley Cup Finals has been intense. During the second period, Niko Mikkola scored the tying goal after a wild sequence where he almost scored on his own goaltender.

Mikkola almost scores on Bob... then beats Skinner.

Fun, wild sequence. 😂

However, drama followed as one social media user pointed out possible interference from an official on Edmonton's veteran player, Connor Brown, during the play leading up to the goal.

Anybody else see the ref stop Connor Brown before that goal????

Slowing down the footage, it doesn't look good for the NHL officials. But given the speed at which Brown was moving towards the official, it's hard to see how the official could have gotten out of the way in time.

It's clear that the official impacted the play. Regardless of whether the Oilers manage to tie the series before it shifts to Edmonton for games three and four, this incident will definitely be a major talking point.
