Last week, Anthony Di Marco reported that Kolosov is not expected to attend training camp. This news isn't surprising, considering the trade rumors surrounding him throughout the summer.
Kolosov has reportedly been unhappy with his lack of playing time with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms and has also struggled with homesickness.
As a result, Kolosov has become a trade candidate, and the Flyers have set their price. According to NHL insider Elliotte Friedman, the Flyers are asking for a second-round pick in exchange for Kolosov. However, teams will only make the trade if they are confident that Kolosov will join them.
Kolosov, a 22-year-old goalie with potential, was a third-round pick in 2021. He has shown promise in the KHL, playing for Dynamo Minsk, where he posted a 22-21-3 record, a .907 save percentage (SV%), and a 2.39 goals-against average (GAA) in 47 games last season. In the previous season, he had a .912 SV% and a 2.55 GAA in 42 games.
It will be interesting to see what the Flyers decide to do with Kolosov. If he's open to playing in North America for a new team, he could be a hot trade target.
