According to a recent report, management has already put a mandate in place that the Penguins goaltenders will all be made to wear white pads throughout the 2023-24 season.
Usually, goaltenders are given freedom to bring their own gear and design it the way they like, as long as they're in team colours, but it appears that freedom won't be given for the Penguins.
The Penguins missed the playoffs for the first time in years in 2022-23, but after acquiring Erik Karlsson, Reilly Smith and some solid names this summer, it appears they're ready to bounce back in a big way this season.
They're still an ageing team, but with Crosby, Malkin, Guentzel, Karlsson and Letang leading the way, their Stanley Cup window is still open, and with Dubas at the helm, things could turn around in a big way.
