Pittsburgh Penguins general manager Kyle Dubas is facing unexpected criticism from his own family over his recent contract with goaltender Tristan Jarry.

Known for making some risky signings Dubas now finds himself in a challenging spot as Jarry's performance has come under intense scrutiny.

With the Penguins struggling early in the this season at 3-6-1 frustration is mounting across the organization. Much of this centers around Jarry who was recently demoted to the AHL & has posted an unsteady 5.47 GAA & .836 save percentage in three games. The decision to sign Jarry to a five year contract which pays him over $5 million annually with three years remaining is now looking problematic for Pittsburgh.

In a surprising twist Dubas grandmother has now joined the chorus of critics online by taking to social media & ultimately urging the Penguins to move on from Jarry & echoing the frustrations of fans.

Cmon Pens, you got to get it together, time to realize time is moving on and so should the Penguins!!

Unfortunately moving on from Jarry won't be simple as few teams are likely willing to take on his massive contract. Any attempt to trade him would probably require the Penguins to include additional assets to sweeten the deal or even retain some salary which is probably the last thing they want to do.

As criticism grows from fans & family alike Dubas faces tough decisions ahead. The Penguins must now determine how to navigate this challenging situation while remaining competitive but without flexibility under the cap they have limited options for quick solutions.
