The Pittsburgh Penguins have announced their new staff hires for the upcoming season, and it looks like GM Kyle Dubas has recruited talent from both the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Edmonton Oilers.

According to the list of hires and promotions posted on the Penguins' official NHL website, two notable names stand out. Chris Roque, a former scout with the Maple Leafs, has been brought in by Dubas to serve as an amateur scout for the Penguins. Additionally, Jason Pietrzykowski, who was a scout with the Oilers, has been hired as a professional scout for the team.

NHL insider Chris Johnston shared more details about the other hires.

This isn't the first time Dubas has recruited from the Maple Leafs. Just a month ago, he brought Wes Clark from Toronto to Pittsburgh. It seems Dubas is keen on surrounding himself with familiar faces from his time in Toronto, and he didn't hesitate to recruit from another Canadian team, the Oilers, as well.

After missing the playoffs for two consecutive seasons, the Penguins are in need of a turnaround, and Dubas is clearly willing to make bold moves to get the team back on track, even if it means ruffling some feathers along the way.
