The Seattle Kraken faced off against the Calgary Flames in some preseason hockey earlier tonight and in a terrible turn of events, top Flames prospect Jakob Pelletier has gotten injured.
The player who threw Pelletier, the 26th pick in the 2019 draft, into the boards was 2017 5th-rounder Marian Studenic.
Studenic was ejected for his actions and will likely face extra discipline from the NHLPA.
Pelletier was seen with a limp arm following the incident potentially hinting at a broken shoulder, arm, or collarbone.
Depending on the severity of this injury, Pelletier could miss either a few weeks or a few months which would completely derail his NHL progression.
