Kane Meets with Treliving To Negotiate Deal With Maple Leafs
As many people have reported Patrick Kane has spent a lot of his rehab process training in Oakville, Ontario. Today after training he met with the Toronto Maple Leafs to discuss signing a contract.
This is the first we have heard major reports of Kane negotiating with teams. This could mean the Maple Leafs are the frontrunner or the first team that Kane wants to consider.
Kane did of course play in nearby London, Ontario during his OHL days before being drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks.
Insider Confirms The Other Contenders For Kane
After announcing the meeting with the Maple Leafs NHL insider John Shannon also dropped a list of teams that have rumored interest.
All of the teams listed could give the Toronto Maple Leafs a tough time in signing Kane. The Sabres have the most cap space of these teams and are Kane's hometown team.
In the coming days, Patrick Kane's travel itinerary will need to be followed closely to understand who the major threats to the Maple Leafs might be.
