One of Dubas' lesser-known trades involved sending Dryden Hunt to the Calgary Flames in exchange for Radim Zohorna, a 26-year-old who went undrafted in the NHL.
Zohorna is an imposing figure, standing at 6'06 and weighing in at 220lbs.
He made his debut for the Maple Leafs last night, and William Nylander revealed his new teammate's nickname after the game:
William Nylander says he's calling Zohorna «Big Z».

Although it may not appear significant, the fact that a new NHL player has adopted the nickname "Big Z" has sparked outrage amongst fans. The issue is not about the nickname being offensive or derogatory, but rather that the league already had a "Big Z" in Zdeno Chara, a future hall of famer, and it seems inappropriate for someone else to share his moniker.
While Chara, who is known for being a kind and gracious individual, might not mind another player using his nickname, many fans find it disrespectful for a newcomer to take on the same moniker as the long-time NHL veteran, who has recently retired. This sentiment is particularly strong given that it is the Maple Leafs who are using the nickname.

Excuse me? The name Big Z is retired. Why don't they just start calling Matthews the great one' and Marner Mr Hockey' while we're at it 🙄 pic.twitter.com/fjhfqT5Sda Matt (@FullMessier) April 2, 2023
