According to Eklund of Hockey Buzz, three teams: Montreal Canadiens, New York Islanders and Boston Bruins have all been linked to the 27-year old.
In 163 games with Vancouver, Garland has tallied 37 goals and 100 points, with 52 and 46 points in his first two full seasons with the teams, and now, it appears teams out there believe he has a ceiling that he's not yet achieved.
Garland has been more than serviceable in his time in the NHL thus far, but he's yet to break through and become a top star that many believed he could be, despite being drafted in the fifth round back in 2015.
Ultimately, the 27-year old has plenty of NHL experience, but still room to grow, and if the Canucks believe that they aren't in contention in 2023-24, which is still too early to buy in too, then moving a name like Garland could be the move to make.
