During their matinee game against the Detroit Red Wings, Nikita Zadorov looked to enforce his physicality with a big hit, but he got it very, very wrong.
The hit resulted in an immediate ejection, and given the three-game suspension for Brenden Dillon after a recent hit to the head of Noel Acciari, it's safe to say that this may see Zadorov facing a similar fate.
Vancouver acquired Zadorov in part for his physical nature, so it's not unexpected to see him make a play like this, but in future, the clear targeting of the head needs to change all over the NHL, with this one being a perfect example of what not to do while hitting an opponent.
