One unfortunate rookie for the Penguins had to leave the game early tonight.

Ludvig Rushed To Locker Room

Penguins defenseman John Ludvig had to be helped off the ice tonight in his NHL debut after he laid a hit on Radek Faksa of the Dallas Stars. In a scary turn of events, Ludvig appeared to go unconscious before he hit the ice. He then laid there motionless.

While Penguins fans will be concerned about the health of their young defenseman, some fans of the Stars were unhappy with the play as Ludvig appeared to leave his feet prior to making the hit on Faksa, who was lucky enough to come out of the contact okay.
